What is the Indonesian diaspora?

The Indonesian diaspora refers to the remarkable community of 6-8 million Indonesians living, working, and studying outside of Indonesia. The Indonesian diaspora is an amazingly diverse community whose members can be found all over the world. It is made up of Indonesian citizens as well as persons of Indonesian origin who have become citizens of other countries. From leading the World Bank to manufacturing the world’s microchips, to winning Olympic gold medals, members of the Indonesian diaspora are doing incredible things!

Listen to Dr. Dino Patti Djalal, Founder of Indonesian Diaspora Network Global, talk more about the Indonesian diaspora here.

The 5th Congress of Indonesian Diaspora
